The WELL is committed to providing access to all students at Sacramento State. They have a new program going on called All-In Recreation (A.I.R.). It is an opportunity for all to get involved together. Inclusion is more than just having an accessible facility, but also having programing that involves both people with and without disabilities interacting and participating together. This program offers adaptive recreational opportunities to people who have disabilities. They also encourage others who do not have disabilities to participate. Events they offer consist of Goalball, beep baseball, beep kickball, adaptive volleyball, wheelchair rugby, and wheelchair basketball. This program shows inclusion, diversity, and health promotion.
The Well has one last upcoming event happening from May 6th-8th. It is a 3 day Wheelchair Basketball Expo at The Well. At the event you will learn rules and skills and also practice drills. All equipment is provided and the event is free. There will be two days of practice on Wednesday and Thursday from 3-5pm and then the games are on Friday from 1-5pm.
Challenge yourself in a new way and take advantage of this great opportunity and learn something new. For more information, visit The Well website.
