Thanks to the contributions of the Sacramento State community, the ASI A-Team was able to donate 73 Thanksgiving food baskets to families in need. The baskets contained every item needed to provide a family with a full Thanksgiving dinner and were donated to various agencies and elementary schools upon collection.
In addition to the donation of the food, many students also donated their time and energy to help decorate the baskets. Three whole classrooms and one hundred other students helped make Thanksgiving just that much more special for a lucky family in need this holiday season.
When asked about the success of the food basket drive, Dr. Davin Brown, Director of Student Life and Services for ASI, said the drive “was a rousing success.” Dr. Brown noted this success is “typical of Sacramento State because of the great contributions made by students that constantly impact the community in a wonderful way.”
