Becoming an ASI student representative has been a really positive experience. My participation has allowed me the opportunity to make a difference on campus by being able to vote on campus initiatives concerning sustainable actions at Sac State. It's an excellent way to become involved with the campus and truly make a difference without sacrificing huge amounts of time. Getting involved with this committee has been one of the best choices I've made during my time at Sac State, both personally and professionally.

ASI & UNIVERSITY COMMITTEES
WHY JOIN?
When it is all said and done, how will you be remembered? Will you be another face in the crowd walking from class to class with your head down and your earbuds in? Will you continue your routine? Class. Work. Study. Sleep. Class. Or will you take a chance; will you get involved?
If you are wondering how you can build up your resume or how you can make a difference, well, look no further. For nearly every passion a student might have there is an ASI or University committee to match. Business students can get involved in a Business and Finance committee; while those Environmental Studies majors might check out the Recycling or Sustainability committees. These outlets allow for students to make their voices heard by speaking on behalf of the student body. There are 28,000 students at Sac State. How will you make a difference?
ABOUT COMMITTEEs
Committees meet anywhere from once a week to a few times a year. They give you the unique ability to build your team working skills and get professional experience while you are still in school. Not only will you serve Sac State as a student committee member, but you can receive access to a host of opportunities to have fun and build your leadership skills. You can choose to be on either Univerisity Committees or an ASI Committees.
