Associated Students is a nonprofit corporation and an auxiliary organization of California State University, Sacramento.  Therefore, ASI employees are not state employees.

The organization provides a wide range of programs and services to the students of Sac State. The following are the benefits available to full-time ASI staff:

• Employer paid Kaiser or Western Health Advantage medical for employee plus family (includes vision) {Small co-pay for dependent coverage}

• Employer paid Premier Access Dental for employee plus family

• After two years of service, 10% of gross pay is contributed to retirement plan—no employee contribution required, 100% vesting upon enrollment

• Employer paid $50,000 life insurance for employee

• Employer paid long-term disability insurance and accidental death and dismemberment insurance for employee

• Flexible Spending Plan, Medical Reimbursement & Dependent care

• Paid vacation - beginning accrual at 2 weeks/year (increases with years of service)

• Paid sick leave – 12 days per year.  Excess sick leave can be converted to well leave.

• 13 paid holidays

• 24 hours paid personal leave per year

• Tuition reimbursement - up to 6 units per semester; release time during work day

• Six weeks of parental leave with full pay after birth or adoption

• Employee Assistant Program (EAP)

• Discounts at other ASI programs including free legal aid
