Financial Aid Workshops this February

Posted by & filed under Campus Life, News.

Each year the Financial Aid Office promotes February as FA Awareness Month, by offering student workshops to provide “hands on” assistance in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the California Dream Act Application.

This year we would like to bring these services to you, by offering you free sessions on the financial aid applications and how to guide you through the financial aid process. These sessions will be designed to offer attendees a high level overview of the step-by-step financial aid process here at Sac State and how to answer some of the questions frequently asked by students and/or their families.

Students should be prepared to bring: parents’ information if dependent; spouse’s information, if married; Social Security Card and driver’s license/state-issued identification; 2014 bank statements/investment records; Permanent resident alien card (if applicable); 2014 federal income tax return, W2 and/or records of any untaxed income.

So come and join us at one of these sessions and learn all about the financial aid process for 2015-2016. Both sessions will be available in Mendocino Hall, Room 2007.

February 5 — 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
February 9 — 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
February 17 — 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

All financial aid applications are due on March 2nd, 2015.
