Welcome to Sac State’s “Fleeky Friday”, where Hornets tune in to hear the latest in pop culture and learn what’s weak, and what’s on fleek. So what’s on fleek this week?

This week, everyone’s talking about Ms. Ariana Grande and her donut-licking travesty. International pop-star Ariana Grande was caught on surveillance footage licking a donut at a donut shop in Lake Elsinore, California. Clearly, she can’t resist a good donut and loves “The Way” it makes her feel. Even though this whole incident has created one more “Problem” for her, I’d assume this was the “Best Mistake” she’s ever made because she just can’t keep her hands, or should I say mouth, off of a good donut.

Hornets, if you too are a sucker for a good donut or other sweet desserts, Sacramento has many sweet dessert destinations to offer. Starting off with a few in the immediate Sac State vicinity that may even catch Ms. Grande’s attention.

Known for their ice cream filled donuts, The Parlor Ice Cream Puffs would be Ariana Grande’s first stop. Their menu includes various donuts and ice cream flavors that are stuffed inside of their already delicious donuts. If you are looking for a sugar rush, The Parlor Ice Cream Puffs is definitely the right place for you.

If donuts aren’t your thing, Sacramento offers other dessert destinations such as Cookie Connection, which is known for their daily fresh baked cookies. If you’re feeling adventurous, they even offer ice cream to make mouth-watering ice cream cookie sandwiches.

Nothing Bundt Cakes, which happens to be located in the same shopping center as Cookie Connection, is my all-time favorite. They are known for their famous bundt cakes ranging from bite-sized to tiered, that are offered in various flavors. The Nothing Bundt Cakes delivery service makes them unique and convenient for students in the Sac State area.

Last but not least, Marie’s Donuts. Marie’s Donuts is a prime destination for all of you Hornets who get late night cravings for a midnight snack because they are only open at night time: 11pm-3am. Their wide variety of donuts are baked fresh daily.

So Hornets, if you are looking for a good Sacramento dessert destination, check out some of these ASI A-Team recommendations:
