Calling all volunteers!

Help at the ASI Food Pantry

If you are an individual or group looking for community service hours, the ASI Food Pantry would love to have your help! The ASI Food Pantry offers two types of volunteer opportunities:

Operating Assistance:

For this opportunity you will be volunteering in the Food Pantry during operating hours assisting ASI staff with transactions, helping keep shelves neat and organized, and assisting students who visit the pantry.

Inventory/Restocking:

This opportunity occurs outside of pantry operating hours and assists with inventory management such as stocking and labeling.

Best of all, you can get Leadership Initiative credit for volunteering! All you have to do is complete 3 hours of service at the ASI Food Pantry.

Students who are interested in volunteering can sign-up online or visit www.asi.csus.edu/foodpantryvolunteer for more info.

If you would like to host a food drive please contact Madison Hall at ateamserviceevents@csus.edu.

JOIN AN ASI COMMITTEE

ASI offers students a great opportunity to be an integral part of the decision-marking process at Sac State. Students have the chance to be appointed to committees and help to make a difference on the campus. This can be a great way to meet new people and boost your resume. There are two types of committees that you can sit on:

Internal:

Internal ASI committees take part in decisions that affect changes in ASI directly. Most internal committees focus on figuring out where ASI’s money should go through the yearly budget, scholarships and grants.

UNIVERSITY:

Consisting of students, University faculty, staff, and/or administration, these groups deal with campus wide issues and make recommendations for the University regarding issues like academic policies, budget, sustainability and campus services.

Learn more about how to join one at http://www.asi.csus.edu/get-involved/join-a-committee/
