This past Thursday, The ASI Children’s Center held its annual Harvest Day on the playground of the Children’s Center.
There were plenty of games and activities to witness, most dealing with nature and appreciating the beauty of the fall season… and pumpkins!
The youngsters of the Children’s Center took happily to many new discoveries. They explored the insides of a pumpkin, made nature collages, tasted pumpkin seeds, ate pumpkin pancakes, heard nature tales in the garden, and navigated their way around the hay bales and scarecrows of the always popular pumpkin patch.
This week, the fun doesn’t stop for the little ones either.
On Thursday, the ASI Children’s Center will be taking preschoolers to THE WELL for food demonstrations as part of Sac State’s participation in its third annual National Food Day.
