Sac state, let’s get outside and win!!🏆🎉
PSA: The Outdoor Nation Campus Challenge is a competition with schools from across the country going head-to-head for four weeks to see who can get the most people outside and active. The school with the most people outdoors wins. This challenge runs from September 18 to October 15, hosted by the Outdoor Foundation, a nonprofit committed to reconnecting millennials with the outdoors.
Let’s show the nation that Sacramento State isn’t filled with a bunch of lazy bones. That as Hornets, we are constantly buzzing with adrenaline and motivation to maintain a healthy, active lifestyle. It’s time for us to compete against other universities and prove ourselves the most actively progressive school. This is not just for the students either; it is for everyone that encompasses the Sacramento State community! When partaking in this challenge, you don’t have to take the active lifestyle to the extreme. No need to be an “adrenaline junkie” of any sort to participate. There are activities that fit an everyday style, such as: walking to school, gardening, dog-walking, and even hammocking! So, lace up into your running shoes, grab your friends, and get outside!
You’re probably wondering, “what’s in it for me besides being a part of an amazing school that even has the status of ‘National Outdoor Champion’ to prove it?” Well, those who participate in this challenge will be entering in chance to win prizes from the following sponsors: REI, The North Face, Hydro Flask, and ENO. Help Sacramento State gain bragging rights to being the best school ever! For more information, visit the Outdoor Nation site. So let’s come together as a school, get active, and take home the gold!
