WHEN DOES SAFE RIDES OPERATE?
Safe Rides operates during school semesters Wednesday-Saturday from 10pm- 2am.
HOW FAR DOES SAFE RIDES GO?
Safe Rides covers an approximately 10 mile radius around the school.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO TO USE SAFE RIDES?
You need to have your One Cards and be within the boundaries (see map in “Using Safe Rides” section).
WHERE CAN SAFE RIDES TAKE YOU?
We only pick people up to take them home. We are a “safe ride” home, NOT a taxi service.
DO YOU NEED TO BE DRUNK TO USE SAFE RIDES?
Absolutely not! Safe Rides is for anyone who needs a safe ride home.
DOES SAFE RIDES OPERATE DURING SCHOOL BREAKS?
No, Safe Rides only operates when school is in session.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO TO VOLUNTEER FOR SAFE RIDES?
- Groups: Visit our Group Sign Up (located within our “Volunteer” page) to view a list of open dates and sign you club or organization up for whichever night you wish to commit to. On the night you wish to volunteer, please be sure that the minimum amount of people (4 drivers, 4 navigators) arrive by 9:30pm. Remember that all drivers need a current valid insurance card with VALID starting and expiration dates.
- Individuals: Visit our Individual Sign Up (located within our “Volunteer” page) to view a list of open dates and sign up for whichever nights you wish to commit to. On the night you wish to volunteer, please arrive by 9:30pm. If you sign up as a Driver, please bring a current valid insurance card. The card MUST HAVE valid starting and expiration dates.

WHAT ARE THE SAFE RIDES STAFF'S OFFICE HOURS?
- The ASI Hot Spot (located on the 1st floor of The WELL) is open from 9am-5pm. While all members of the SEO department have knowledge on Safe Rides, specific Safe Rides representatives may not be available throughout the entirety of the office hours. If you wish to confirm whether there will be a Safe Rides representative available when you wish to visit, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
