How It Works

Sac State students will be reimbursed up to a total of $20 each semester (while funds last) for rides they take home during Safe Rides operational hours fall and spring semesters / Wednesdays – Saturdays / 10pm – 2am.

ASI is not liable for any incidents associated with the rides and students are taking rides at their own risk. ASI does not guarantee reimbursements for all rides. Requests must have proper documentation and will only be reimbursed until the max amount of allotted funds per semester is reached.

Step 1

Take a ride in Sacramento using any ride sharing program of your choice during Safe Rides approved hours Wednesday-Saturday from 10pm – 2am.

Step 2

Get a receipt listing all trip details in one image that must include: the date/time of the ride, pick up and drop off locations, the cost of the ride, and the last four digits of the card used.

Step 3

Fill out the Safe Rides reimbursement form and upload a copy of the receipt with all trip details and a copy of the credit card used to pay (with only last four digits and name shown)

Step 4

Receive an email when your reimbursement is ready for pick up at the ASI Student Shop

Step 5

Bring your ID and pick up your reimbursement – you will have until the end of the academic year to pick up your reimbursement
