Sac State Downtown

Posted by & filed under Campus Life, News.

Dear Fellow Hornets,

This coming August, Sacramento State will open the new “Downtown School of Public Affairs” (DSPA) one mile from the Capitol. Just the fifth school of its kind in the country, the new downtown school will offer graduate and undergraduate courses in policy, government, criminal justice, and other related fields. It will also house four policy-focused centers/institutes, where students can work and learn, and will serve as a hub for internship opportunities (like the Capitol Fellows and Sacramento Semester programs).

This past semester, the ASI Director of Social Sciences and Interdisciplinary Studies, Margot Rinaldo and I have worked with campus partners to increase the participation of students and alumni in the development of the new downtown location. To ensure that the needs of students are well represented in this process, the Institute for Social Research has developed a survey to collect student feedback. It is important that we gather feedback on this new project to enhance our status as the Capital CSU and our commitment to developing the next generation of state leaders.

Please complete the survey now by clicking on this link https://isrcsus.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_cUd5ylK7zoIlcsR. Your thoughts about this project are valuable to the University and will help shape what the DSPA becomes. Five students who submit their surveys by December 12th will be randomly drawn to win a $100 gift card for the Sacramento State Bookstore.

Thank you for your participation,

Patrick K. Dorsey
ASI President

I submitted my response for the survey link regarding the new downtown location. Does it store my email or other identifier in the event that I win a giftcard? It did not ask me for any identifier. Please let me know.

Hello, the survey is actually done by another entity on campus and we will look into it and get back to you. Thanks
