Sacramento Music Scene

Posted by & filed under Buzzed, Tips/Advice, Uncategorized.

With summer time upon us, many students are left with an unexpected amount of time on their hands; time that can be used to explore this beautiful city in which we are lucky enough to attend university in. Filled with many historical tourists’ attractions, Sacramento was once the second largest city in California.  Sacramento is currently the sixth largest city in California, and what many people fail to realize is that this city has much more to offer than just our historic landmarks.  The “916” is home to a thriving music scene.  The Downtown/Midtown area is home to many different bars and nightclubs that frequently host various music artists.  These venues cater to different genres of music ranging anywhere from Country, Electronic, Alternative and even Rap.  One venue with a plethora of Sac State student attendance is Ace of Spades, located downtown at 1417 R Street, Sacramento, California. Ace of Spades has hosted artists such as “Backstreet Boys”, “Starting Six”, “G-Eazy”, and even “New Found Glory”.  This is one of many venues that I highly recommend checking out over your summer vacation.
