alternative breaklogoSac State Students have an “Alternative Break” option this January. Alternative Break offers short-term, local, community-based service projects for Sac State students. Students are able to choose to work as much, or as little as they like, from one to four service days, depending on their availability. A variety of opportunities are available to students at a host of different locations, January 21 – 25, 2012.

Started in 2007, Alternative Break is a great opportunity to network with community-based organizations; develop personal and professional skills; and connect with your campus and local community. Sac State students will be providing much needed service to diverse communities, while building skills and friendships. With great partners such as Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services, Habitat for Humanity, and Harvest Sacramento, Alternative Break provides students with many opportunities to give back to those in need.
