The Wellness Hub, located on the first floor of the University Union, offers a variety of wellness and mental health services to Sacramento State students. Students will be able to attend wellness workshops to learn about healthy lifestyles and meet counselors informally with our new Let’s Talk series.
Let’s Talk is a new program at Sacramento State where students can drop in and informally talk with a counselor. These “mini consultations” allow students to ask questions and address everyday concerns surrounding mental health. This is a great way for students to meet the counselors at Student Health and Counseling Services before making an appointment. Let’s Talk is currently offered on Thursdays and Fridays from 1:00 – 3:00.
Wellness workshops are the best way on campus to learn about making healthy lifestyle changes. Students can learn tips on how to stress less, learn mindful meditation practices, and more. Koru is the newest mindfulness course on campus. This free, 4-week mindfulness course will introduce new techniques for students to improve their lives. Students who take this course will experience improvement in their sleep patterns, experience less stress during the school year, and be able to identify new concepts to deal with stress in their everyday life. Coming Soon: Drop-In Hours
The Wellness Hub offers a quiet space for students to meditate, destress, and learn new ways to increase their well-being. Take a break from the busyness of campus to listen to a guided meditation, do some mindful coloring, or try our biofeedback machine. Or just sit and decompress in peaceful surroundings.
